Kelowna Christian School's Citizenship and Service Program is founded in the fundamental belief that we must begin by listening and understanding. It starts with our commitment to ongoing relationships with partners in Mexico and Southern Africa.

It's not about us.

An interesting article by the director of a well known short term missions organization claims that most such trips are a "waste of time". Ultimately his argument is based on the foundation that many trips exist to meet our needs - we want to be in control, we want to define what's important. At K.C.S. we have found that the overseas trips we take with students are most successful when they are permeated with a prayerful expectancy - a sense that they are more about God and others than us.
